Best Power Rack for Low Ceilings

Finding the most ideal Rack for a low ceiling is the most common reason people do not buy a commercial Power Rack for a home gym. Most standard UK garages, loft conversions, garden gyms or smaller spaces often have lower ceiling heights. Many standard Power Racks normally being 230 to 240 cm in height. With lower ceilings ranging from 190cm – 220cm high.
Finding a Commercial grade 75 x 75 mm can be difficult to fit into these low ceiling spaces, but this is where MUSCLEIQ come in and have commercial grade multifunctional power racks with the option with a Smith Machine starting at 183cm, also having lower heights of 193cm, 203cm, 213cm, 223cm and a more standard 233cm height. Having a lower ceiling does not mean you cannot have a Power Rack in your space. Having a rack that fits your room does not compromise on quality this is where our Multifunctional and Spartan Pro racks will come into play with customised heights and with a choice of up to 40 attachments that can be added.
Measuring your Height
Measure from the lowest point in the room these being Beams, lights or garage door rails, make sure to measure at a few different points in the room as some ceilings are not always level. Always remember that flooring adds 2cm in height with the 20mm floor tiles, so take this off your overall finished height.

Can I fit a Power rack in a 2 Metre garage?
Yes this is possible in a 2 metre garage we have two height choices these being the 183cm and 193cm options. Choosing the 193cm option you will have 7cm left over, you can use 20mm floor mats and have the 193cm Rack in this ceiling height.
How much space do I need?
Using our height calculator you can check what would be most beneficial for your space.
Will a shorter height affect the performance?
No, all of our Commercial Racks use the same 75 x 75 mm 3mm (11 gauge frame) so compromising on height will not compromise on the quality of the Rack. Having a shorter Rack will mean slightly less cable travel and a lower overall top height trolley position. This is where a Swivel Arm attachment will come into their own. Allowing to adjust side to side and up and down, they allow you to isolate exercises by locking them in place and gain height compared to your standard Trolleys. Swivel Arms can give you an extra 30cm reach, compared to the top position on the Standard Trolleys. So if you are finding having a lower rack misses out on certain exercises like tricep push downs and lat pull down, Swivel Arm attachment can help bring these exercises back into play.
If you choose a 193cm total height Rack option your maximum Trolley height will be approximately 165cm but with the Swivel Arms the highest positions this will be able to go will go to the extra 30cm reach will be 195cm, fitting in a low ceiling room and maximising as many exercises as possible.
